THE CEREMONIAL VENUS
The Venus that was suspiciously weighing less than it should was one of the figurines that were made to be instruments.

However, the execution wasn't as successful as with other figurines; she had cracks, the earth filled the hollow space inside of her and before she could be subjected to more invasive procedure, conservation of the exterior and X-rays has to be made. It unveiled irregularly shaped beads that were trapped inside of her. Although she could later "be played", the sound simply isn't as intense as in other, smaller figurines.
One of the things that made her stand out were hairstyle, she had arms, but they were shattered, and she has a visibly marked out bottom wear. For that reason she was named the "Ceremonial Venus"; as she seems to be all "dressed up".
She was the first that was recognized as an instrument and tested, raising further suspicion.
She is the heaviest Venus figurine - and the tallest, at 22 centimeters. She was made about 8 700 B.C.
