THE VENUS WITH CAVE ART

The Venus figurine that has been made about 11 200 B.C. made the archeologists think could there have been another room which actually had cave art?

What was surprising was that she was sculpted entirely without arms, not even engraved or somehow marked. She is one of the figurines which has the most remarkable patina.

It makes us question whether she was a huntress. She is shown pregnant - but she could nevertheless been a huntress or possibly a leader - as she decorated with animal figures. Her death might have come from hunt, which is why she was found in the fire pit.

However, the markings may not be the only indicators of her status. She has decorated hair - it is let down, with perhaps beads attached to the sides.

One of the thoughts that occurred was a possibility that the figurine represented a tattooed individual.

This figurine is 11.8 centimeters tall.
