This Venus figurine may have been an instrument that was supposed to be carried for entertainment once it was fired. However, it has never left the fire pit and it has never been used. Her size - and the fact that she is so small, yet hollow and filled with small beads, closed and fired without the trapped air or time that has passed breaking her is truly a display of their incredible skill with clay in a period that has prior to this discovery been called the "Pre-ceramic period".

It is only 11 centimeters long.
